Catch Up

Lots to Catch up on! I'll try to do it through Photos!!

Zak loves cell phones!

In January we went to Ontario with Jeb who went for work. Zak loved visiting with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma thought Zak was cold one day so she put on a sweater that I had when I was younger. We all thought he looked like a sheep. By the end of the week Zak had warmed up to Grandpa and wasn't that scared of him.

In the airport ready to head off to Phoenix with the McLeish family since we missed them at Christmas!

Grandma got Zak his own little cowboy hat!

For Jeb's Birthday I bought him tickets to the Coyotes vs. Flames game, it was lots of fun, but you would have thought from all the red Jerseys we were at a Flames game!

Zak loved pushing around his Buzz Lightyear car.
Zak in Daddy's new St. Andrews Golf course hat Grandpa got all the boys.
We celebrated Zak's 1st Birthday early while we were there!
is uncles New Toy from Grandma (and Grandpa and his uncles?)
 He loved sweeping!

One morning when Grandma was taking care of Zak while we slept in (So nice, thanks mom!) Zak pulled out a Jug of water and started playing in it. Grandma had to improvise on some clothing!

Zak has fun brushing hair when he finds a brush or comb.
Zak warmed up most to Matt out of all the uncles, he's still a little scared of Men!
It snowed one day! It was so crazy! To think I had been lounging in that chair the day before.

Zak loves the dishwasher, and mom often has to shoo him away from all the dirty dishes, but Grandma let him play away in the clean ones and he loved it!

 Hair cut!
Exploring the house with Uncle Matt!
Zak loved "playing golf" on the putting green in the back yard
"I'll pull the pin for you Grandpa"

We had lots of fun being able to visit Family. It's nice that Zak has been able to see my parents so much even though they live far away. He loves Grandma more than me! And loves Grandpa too! (Especially when the choice is Grandpa or his uncles)

Once he actually turned One we had a dinner with family. He got REAL cake (instead of the yogurt covered pumpkin muffins he got in Phoenix)
Zak got wonderful books from Auntie Kat and Uncle Josh

And some balls from mom and dad!

I can't believe I have a one year old!

More Crafting

Some little things I have been doing lately....
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for Jeb for our anniversary this year. I kept thinking. "I wish he was just a girl then I would just send flowers to his work." So instead I made him a bouquet of candy flowers, got a helium "Happy Anniversary" balloon and Zak and I headed off to his work to embarrass him surprise him. Jeb is on a secure floor so I had to secretly call his co-worker, so he was Totally surprised when we showed up next to his desk. This is what his bouquet looked like!

I also have been wanting to make a holder/display for my jewellery for a long time. I got a bunch of free frames off Kijiji, so I decided to make this! I love it! All the frames are backed with lace. I plan on having them against a more colorful wall eventually, and I think the wall will look really good showing through the lace.

And last but not least I made a temple bag. I hated that my dress would CONSTANTLY get wrinkled. (I only used like a gym bag before) So this was my solution! I can hang it up when I am home, and it nicely folds into a bag for transport! :)
It folds into a bag/tote thing, but has a hanger where you can hang it up! No wrinkles!
A divided pocket at the bottom to store your stuff in
This one I made to give away, same thing just different style/fabric. I loved how they turned out!
