More Crafting

Some little things I have been doing lately....
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for Jeb for our anniversary this year. I kept thinking. "I wish he was just a girl then I would just send flowers to his work." So instead I made him a bouquet of candy flowers, got a helium "Happy Anniversary" balloon and Zak and I headed off to his work to embarrass him surprise him. Jeb is on a secure floor so I had to secretly call his co-worker, so he was Totally surprised when we showed up next to his desk. This is what his bouquet looked like!

I also have been wanting to make a holder/display for my jewellery for a long time. I got a bunch of free frames off Kijiji, so I decided to make this! I love it! All the frames are backed with lace. I plan on having them against a more colorful wall eventually, and I think the wall will look really good showing through the lace.

And last but not least I made a temple bag. I hated that my dress would CONSTANTLY get wrinkled. (I only used like a gym bag before) So this was my solution! I can hang it up when I am home, and it nicely folds into a bag for transport! :)
It folds into a bag/tote thing, but has a hanger where you can hang it up! No wrinkles!
A divided pocket at the bottom to store your stuff in
This one I made to give away, same thing just different style/fabric. I loved how they turned out!

Christmas Craft

Made this before Christmas!

Love it!

Bathroom Makeover

So the only part of my house when we bought it that I thought was completely hideous was the downstairs bathroom. (it was the only room they didn't have a picture of in the listing, so they must have thought it was ugly too!) So this past summer we re-did it. Nothing fancy, I had a very limited budget to work with, just a bit of a face-lift! But I think it looks SO much better. It took me a while to post the photos because I was waiting to paint something for above the toilet. But I had no clue what to paint, so I whipped the picture of a flower up in about 15 minutes just so I could hang something up! :) I don't have a complete before photo, I was just too excited to start ripping the wall paper off! :) Here are the photos!

BEFORE
Gotta love the bamboo shelf over the toilet
The tribal dancers in the wallpaper is better though!
The fixtures were a little tribal as well
 The wallpaper all down! Halleluiah!
There was this big hole in the drywall behind the toilet so we had to do our best to patch it
The Vanity. Notice the ugly orangey tile.

AFTER
I painted the vanity and added new hardware

I put down new floor. I'm so happy I put it in the "diamond" pattern. Jeb thought it would be easier just to put it straight across, but I think this really made it look just that little bit better.

 My very quick painting
 New Fixtures!

Photo Shoot!

We had a GREAT little family shoot with Laura from Laura Taylor Photography! It was such a nice day, and there was a great fall background! I loved how the photos turned out, wished I was a little skinnier for these, but oh well! Here they are! :)
